I am a freelance writer, compassionate volunteer, semi-frazzled stay at home mommy, lover of food, recipe treasure hunter, and all around great cook (and a sucker for pastries, cakes, books, magazines, and fancy shoes). I attended Columbia College of Chicago as a Fiction Writing major, and reside in Kenosha, Wisconsin with my husband Jared, and our toddling little guy, Tavin.
My blog, NOTE TO SELF: Daily Reminders from God, has blessed and encouraged men and women across the globe, and is linked to international charity organizations such as Gospel for Asia and Compassion International. Since November 2011, my blog has inspired readers to sponsor fourteen children through Gospel for Asia’s, Bridge of Hope program.
I am happy to be a guest blogger on your site, link to your blog or website, "blog for a cause," and contribute to your newsletter, church bulletin, or magazine.
I would also be honored to speak at your church, small group, or event, discussing God's promises, and/or share my story of how God's love and grace healed my life of despair and heartache caused by two abortions I had in my early 20's.
I currently volunteer with Care Net Family Resource Center in Kenosha and Racine, WI. I manage their social pages, help with their fundraising efforts, and developed a video script for their ultrasound ministry. I'm in the process of training to become a facilitator for their post-abortion counseling and bible study sexual healing classes, which will allow women to see first hand, through my own personal experience, the miracle of God's healing, redemption, and love after an abortion.
