GOD’S REMINDER: “We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair.” 2 Corinthians 4:8
NOTE TO SELF: How pressed are you? Each day seems to bring a whole new set of problems. Yet we know nothing about the real troubles of Christians being persecuted around the world.
Yesterday I talked about my political beliefs, and one of the reasons (amongst SO many!) I stand firmly against the current administration is because they are using American money to fund anti-Christian groups in Egypt and around the world. So in all honestly, if you are a taxpaying Christian, your money is being sent to persecute, torture and execute your fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.
Right now, at this very moment, you can’t stop that filtering of money. But there is something you can do that can help so many Christians being persecuted: pray.
On Sunday, November 4, 2012, please join churches and people around the world for the International Day of Prayer for those being persecuted for their faith in Jesus Christ.
If you think this isn’t happening because you don’t hear about it, please click here to watch a video of the reality of the persecuted church, and then drop to your knees this weekend in prayer for God’s brave soldiers in the field of fire.
