GOD’S REMINDER: “Every soul—man, woman, child—belongs to Me, parent and child alike.” Ezekiel 18:4
NOTE TO SELF: You are His. Your children belong to God. Your spouse belongs to God. We do not possess anyone. We are all God’s children. Our souls belong to God alone.
This is good news, but we also have to remember that although we are God’s and our soul belongs to Him, He has also given us a gift called, free will. God owns us, but does not control us. He can guide us, but only if and when we are willing.
Even the non-believer belongs to God. They may not know that. They may not even understand what that means, but they are His, too. As we pray for our loved ones who don’t know their Creator intimately, instead of holding on to them in hopes of not losing them, we should instead give them back to God, where they belong. God will then be able to work in their lives, and He may even use us as His witness.
Although we have a choice to be God’s or not while we are on earth, in the end, God determines our final fate. We will all, one day, face God because every soul belongs to Him.
If we belong to God, then we should belong to Him always. Now...and forever.
