NOTE TO SELF: Are we making God a happy parent? Is His heart singing and dancing to the tune of the truth we speak? Are we speaking truth? Are we being wise, or even becoming wise?
In order to be wise we need to be immersed in God’s presence, Word, and ways. Without those things, we are mere fools, clumsily stumbling through life.
It’s no wonder the media and Hollywood believe that Christianity is a dying “religion.” Hardly anyone is speaking the tunes of truth. Only two well known people came to Chick-Fil-A’s COO, Dan Cathy's defense last week, regarding the traditional marriage statement he made: Mike Huckabee and Franklin Graham, of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. God is singing and dancing to the tune of their truth.
I want to make God’s heart sing and dance. I want to be wise so God can be proud. But those things takes heart, courage, and the willingness to be like Ezekiel and make God’s Word a part of who you are. Then you need to not only walk in God’s truth, but speak it and live it, also.
“A wise man scales the city of the mighty, and brings down the trusted stronghold” (Proverbs 21:22).
PRAYER: Father, we long to make You proud by being wise and speaking Your truth. We may have fallen short, and fallen silent, but God strengthen us. Strengthen our voice, our minds, our hearts, and toughen our skin. Let what we speak, Lord, be so tuneful that it makes Your heart dance and sing. Amen.
JOURNAL: Is there something you’re wanting to speak out about but are afraid of the consequences? Write about what makes you so passionate about that topic and how you would love to openly speak about it to others.
