Not By Might

God Is Able...
(Ephesians 3:19)

MY PRAYER: Lord Jesus, I’m starting a new job that takes me so far from my comfort zone. It has such a great potential for me to finally be financially secure, and quite honestly, somewhat wealthy with a bit of hard work and effort. I want this to work out, but I just don’t know if I can do it. I don’t know if I have what it takes. I’ve never known the kind of success that this job offers. I’ve never known what it means to be financially free. I want so badly to do this, but I just don’t know how.

REMINDER FROM GOD: Don't let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid. Trust in Me with your whole heart, and lean not on your own understanding. Commit whatever you do to Me and your plans will succeed! I bestow favor and honor upon you, and do not withhold anything from those whose walk is blameless. It’s not by might, nor power, but by My Spirit. Apart from Me, you can do nothing. I will guide you always. I will satisfy your needs and strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail. My favor surrounds you like a shield. I arm you with strength and make your ways perfect; I Am establishing you and doing a new thing. I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go. Remember: you are successful because I Am with you.

{John 14:27; Proverbs 3:5; Proverbs 16:3; Psalm 84:11; Zechariah 4:6; John 15:5; Psalm 5:12; Psalm 18:32; 1 Peter 5:10; Isaiah 43:19; Psalm 32:7; Genesis 39:2}

NOTE TO SELF: Throughout my entire life I have depended on my own abilities to make myself successful. I’m a gifted writer and a spectacular public speaker. Although I’m great at those things, I’ve yet to reap the benefits of either one. I know what I’m good at, but now I’m being asked to do something that is foreign to me, something that I don’t know if I’m good at or not. God is asking me to stop trusting in myself for prosperity, but instead, commit this new job to Him and trust Him to make it succeed. He is the One who is going before me, making my ways perfect, establishing me before I even begin, and withholding nothing from me when I keep my focus and attention on Him. Because God is teaching me a new thing in my life, I won’t fail. His Word says so.

{What is God asking you to do that is taking you out of your comfort zone? How will trusting God influence your success? It’s not by might, nor our own power, but by the Holy Spirit that we are able to learn how to be successful in everything we do.}
