Good Deposit

“Attend to my cry; give ear to my prayer” (Psalm 17:1)

MY PRAYER: Some days, God, I just feel empty, much like my bank account. I feel depleted and discouraged. When there’s no money in the bank, I get frustrated and stir crazy. I begin to believe that I’m back at square one all over again. I start out strong and then one day I find myself in a familiar place that is bankrupt of fresh ideas and motivation. There are times that I totally believe that my spiritual bank account is flowing with abundance, and other days I feel completely robbed. God, I’m aching for Your Fullness…

REMINDER FROM GOD: Guard the good deposit that was entrusted to you—guard it with the help of the Holy Spirit who lives in you. The thief comes to steal, kill and destroy, but I came to give you life abundantly. Submit yourself to Me and resist the devil and he will flee. Call on my Holy Name, and every demon in hell will bow down.
(See 1 Timothy 1:14, John 10:10, James 4:7, Philippians 2:10/Romans 14:11)

NOTE TO SELF: Much like taking my hard earned money to the bank, God will daily put a good deposit in my Spirit when I enter His Presence. Once God places His hope and strength in me, I need to protect it with my life. I need to remain on guard at all times, because there is a thief whose only goal is to steal my joy and hope in efforts to destroy and kill me. The great news is that as I give myself over to Christ and deny the devil access into my head, the enemy has no more power over me, especially when I declare that victory in Jesus’ Mighty Name, the Name above all names!

{How much spiritual wealth are you building up? Have you been allowing the devil to make withdrawals from your account? View your time with God like a bank account full of wealth and good deposits, and then guard it with your life!}
